After some kind people decided to throw superglue over the bonnet, wings and front bumper on my Freelander one night my mind was made up, a little update was required. I had changed the front bumper a few years back so it was a case of new tailgate handle, spoiler, rear lights to match the front and while I was at it I added half mirror covers and gloss black side vents. I think I might get the gloss black door handle covers to match.

I have to agree, Land Rover should have kept Tambora Flame as part of the colour pallet throughout the whole production run. When I got serious about replacing my F1 rally car with an F2, I really only wanted one in Tambora Flame. However, they seemed to command a higher price, or were complete dogs, or both

Have you tried superglue debonder. I have a bottle for when I accidentally stick my fingers together. Just test somewhere first with the paint. If it is ok probably worth cleaning it off quickly. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

It was a couple of days after the event that our neighbour was watching their CCTV and saw the chaps throwing the glue on the car (5 cars in total) so I tried some acetone but no joy in getting it off. It was mitre glue which I believe is just superglue.

I have an old broken mirror cover, put some super glue on it, then a super glue hardener, & then tried the solvent. The glue came off rubbing in small circles on the glue with my finger & didn't leave a mark.
