i6 Upgrade from km to miles

asking if anyone has upgraded a Japan i6 with the following

Revision 5
Password: revision5
Add-ons:
1. Clock on dash
2. Autobox gear display for Drive and Sport
3. Correction/linearization of the temperature gauge.
4. Battery voltage as a new item on the on-board computer
5. Instant speed as a new item on the on-board computer

and changed the instrument pod with a UK i6 pod - mph, reading old posts I have noted

For petrol (gasoline) use/try data file AH52-14C088-DD.
So the set of files will be:
SBL: 6H52-14C025-AA
EXE: AH52-14C026-AD <- this one is replaced
DAT: AH52-14C088-DD

but my petrol file is for km, does the loaded data file sets contain a set of files for km and another for miles ? if so does anyone know the data file name for miles

or
would the best path be apply revision 5 to the km before looking how to change to miles

any help would be appreciated

thanks

If you look at this page - https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic19314.ht...;start=165 - on the lengthy technical thread you will see that I had a similar problem in that initially I ended up with km instead of miles. If you have replaced the file AH52-14C026-AD with the relevant one you want (option 5 in your case) then 'all' you have to do is work out which of the folders AH52 -10848-*D is the correct one to upgrade for your car. We know that FD is diesel and kilometres and DD is petrol and kilometres and I guessed, and confirmed that ED is diesel and miles. So CD would seem to be a strong possibility for petrol and miles. Having said that, I can’t see why there are six possible folders but only four possible combinations. What vehicles could AD and BD folders apply to?

But all at your own risk!!!

You really need to read, and reread, and reread again that lengthy thread so that you’re fully conversant with what you’re trying to do. Your reference to “use/try data file AH52-14C088-DD” suggests to me that you haven’t thoroughly read and understood what you’re planning to embark upon. You only change one file - the version of AH52-14C026-AD that gives you the modifications you want, in your case version 5. It is common to all fuel/distance units variants so the challenge is which *D folder you are going to perform the update on.

All at your own risk and don’t forget to have your computer running on mains power - this would not be the time to run out of battery - and also, at the very least, have your battery hooked up to a substantial mains charger, if not a power supply. You definitely don’t want the battery voltage to drop while doing this.

P.S. You can download V130 of SDD (which is all you need) from here - https://www.jaguarforum.com/showthread.php?t=108460 - along with full instructions on how to install it in Virtual-Box.

Hello Simon,
I was only using that as an example to demonstrate the plan, I did realise only one file needs changing, and I was hoping someone could specify the folder and if there any issues I might find on the cars from Japan that may have been noticed
thanks
for the info
