The issue would normally be one of two things. Either a worn hinge or a split in the door/door pillar at the mounting point. To check have someone sit in the passenger seat to look for movement. Open the passenger door a foot or so then grasp the lower rear corner of the door and try and lift the door up and down.Any wear in the hinge will show up or if the metal has started to split where the door is bolted on then this should show up as movement which you should be able to see. Other than that it could be damage to a hinge or door frame caused by the door getting caught by a strong wind and blown open past it`s normal opening gap. Good luck! , |

Have you tried lifting the door, to see where the movement is coming from? Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Gone. 2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE. Gone. Audi A5 convertible, my daily driver. 1972 Hillman Avenger GT, the project. |
