Mine is branded " Landrover" so I do not know if its original as I have very little service history with the car.

I’m amazed how long it’s lasted. I had 2 banner leisure batts in my motorhome they went in just over 4 years. (Replaced Seth varta lfd90s). May see what it’s like when/if it gets colder. 2012 GS

4 years they are on borrowed time. I don't want to be in the outback a 1000km from help. A battery amortised over 4 years doesn't cost much.

My 64 plate with Stop Start failed earlier this year, I don’t think AGM batteries last as long as traditional lead acid ones, progress eh? 64 plate TD4 SE Santorini Black

At 8 years old it will be very near to the end of its life and the fact that the stop/start doesn’t work anymore points to this. With winter coming up, is it worth chancing getting caught out rather than perhaps changing it in advance of a non-start? What are you going to waste by changing it before it lets you down, 20 quid? You might even get that back in saved fuel when your stop/start is working again! I changed the batteries on both my FL2 and my Evoque at about 6 years. The grief I’d get off of the wife if she got stuck out in it wouldn’t be worth it! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto Present: Audi A3 S Line. |

A few years ago neighbours came running up to me knowing I had jumper leads seeing me jump start others with old batteries. They needed to get to hospital quickly as the wife was about to drop one!
