17th November. I have just fitted my winter wheels to avoid the inevitable advisory for the well scrubbed front nearside outer edge on my summer tyres and I am quietly confident. Cam belt change same day, same place. |

So mine just failed on excessive play of a track rod end and a damaged CV joint boot.

That’s not so bad if both are the same side it helps. |

No, not too bad. They are keeping today and are open half day tomorrow so will be sorted and retested by then. £190 all in including the MOT. Possibly not the cheapest but they are local, have the car and I need it sorted. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

Mine's booked in tomorrow, (Sat 14th) I'm fairly confident it has no issues, I will be interested to see if my newly fitted HID kit gets picked up on though. |

I would have N/S and O/S done at the same time, it's always advisable. |

It's funny. Every time something like this happens with the car I consider changing it for something newer that will cost less in the short term to maintain. Then I remember even a used Disco Sport will likely cost £300+ a month in payments. Just can't justify it. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

No worries, just bear in mind though, some MOT testers are a bit more picky than some others, I like to think mine is one of the more reasonable ones |
