How long did your pads last? Must check mine as it is coming upto 30K service time. Will fit pads myself if they are looking to charge that sort of money!

I'll have a quick check when the wheels are off having new tyres fitted. But sounds as if I don't have to worry for 30K service

Was that just pads or pads and discs ??? My pads were changed for the first time at 45k miles service, was told they were OK at that time but would not make it to the 60k service. I was horrified to be told that all the discs were replaced as well !!! Was also told that disc replacement was quite normal; apparently disc wear is much greater in these post 'asbestos' days I don't get to see the invoice so I don't know what it cost ... Disc replacement is more common now post asbestos. My old freelander 1 would need need front pads every 24K and new discs at 48K. Had 2 of them both exactly the same. Blame the brake compounds! 1998 Feelander XDI Hardback - Gone
