Front subframe rust.

Browsing through Youtube today I spotted this one
the guy's changing his gearbox but also
found a very corroded subframe,

It's stuff like this that makes me consider getting mine priory cleaned and sealed underneath. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…

Depressingly rear subframes are known to rot through as well.

Sub frame corrosion on Freely 2s should not be a surprise. Both front and rear subframes are very prone to Mot-fail grade corrosion after about 10 years and the cost of replacing with new would more than likely be uneconomic. Get them cleaned, rustproofed and Waxol or Dinatrol applied as soon as possible for long term ownership.

I plan to do this but it's hard to find £500 to get it done properly at the moment. I know I won't do a good job myself so would not waste my time or money! FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
