As you can see this result was recorded yesterday, so there was a lot of pulling of plugs and pipes to identify the cause of surging and throttle control.

Could go for blanking plate on EGR (cheap on ebay, easily reversible, no worries on a 2008) but unsure how thorughly they check for that for MOT in the UK these days. |

Thought I would put some more lines to this story . The car has passed the Mot , yes but is still intermittant especially when cold , I have put this done to the fact that the EGR is still a bit chOKED FROM 2YRS OF GUNGE. What has changed this is the fitting of the vacuum pipes and new solenoid, which I found disconnected along with the throttle body electrical connector . Maybe the easiest answer was just to blank everything off , but hey ho!
