Hi guys n gals,

Having a nightmare getting to the bottom of this issue. I've replaced the fuse for the interior lights and drivers door controls about 20 times now and keeps blowing.

I have removed all 4 bulbs one at a time to see if that stops the fuses blowing but hasn't helped. It was fine for a day at one point but got in the car the following day and it blew again.

Thankful for any help or advice.

Probably a short circuit.

This is a bit of a long shot but no harm in checking. I had a similar problem (interior lights fuse kept blowing) caused by a 1p coin which had fallen into the cigarette lighter socket on the centre console. Have a look in it for any metal items which may have got in there. Fingers crossed for you. Derek Hill

It would be worth checking the door wiring in the rubber boot where it goes from the door pillar into the door itself. Over time the movement of opening and closing the door can cause the wires to break and they could be shorting against each other. It might need the fuse replaced then a bit of detective work to see exactly what action taken causes the fuse to blow again. Good luck!

I would take the overhead light unit out and see if there is any improvement. Maybe the central overhead light unit and the rear boot light too or at least check if they are on the same circuit. It's a shot in the dark forgive the pun but it's an easy step in testing the fault

So you can test & stop going through fuses. Dremel off the back edges of a fuse & solder on some wire & plug in a panel circuit breaker. They make these in 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10 & 15 amps. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Bit of long shot but a fairly easy check, there are some wires under the air filter which are prone to getting rubbed through. Not sure what the wires are though.
