United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 SE Auto Firenze Red

This puzzles me.
I wonder what is different about these non-OEM fuel filters that cause the hesitation problems.
If it was simply a resistance issue then you'd expect problems under load eg towing up hill where fuel demand is highest.

Is there an internal valve missing ? a bit like the cheap oil filters not having a bypass valve

Anyone know ? Jules

If the fuel temperature is over 90 degrees Celsius, the engine is switching to torque reduction mode in order to protect the fuel system.
