My first guess would be brake light switch, does you cruise control drop out when you touch the brakes? |

There are no fuses just for the brake lights, on top of that the brake lights in the rear clusters are on a separate feed than the high level light. If your 100% sure the cruise drops out, then it could need the ECU module reseting that controls the brake lights!!!! |

I know of two members who have had Tail Light failure and the lamp was fine, it turned out that a Hard Reset was needed, it cured their problem, you've nothing to lose. |

Thanks for this info, I assume a dealership is the only place that can do this, is this correct? Would it be covered by the warranty? Thanks again |

Try disconnecting the battery for a good 10 minutes. |

Disconnect the both leads, hold the two leads together, pop indoors, have a cup of tea, reconnect the battery, hopefully it will have solved your problem.

Can I ask what the problem was? I'm having this issue now. Both rear lights stopped working, but the top rear (center) brake light is still active. Thanks! |

I know this is an old thread but I had this issue too. Right brake light bulb blew. But after I replaced it (Bursons in Australia and ask for BAW15D bulbs to save the $70 each stealership fee) the light would still not light up.
