He should loose his license, as should all drives who use a phone while driving. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Gone.
2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE. Gone.
Audi A5 convertible, my daily driver.

Wales 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Zermatt Silver

Goodness it happens all the time. Folks cannot put their damned phones down. Last weekend I came up behind a bloke on a local dual carriageway who was doing (and I joke not) 45mph... When I passed him his head was down in his lap texting.

Incredibly dangerous pastime... £200 and 6 points is too lenient on these prats, outright ban in my books...

It does not seem that long ago that you could buy car powered electric razors and coffee cups to help you save time having to have breakfast and get ready for work in the morning.

An example

And don't forget all those you see doing their hair in that handy (rear view?) mirror while going round the ring road. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

England 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Santorini Black

I was behind a mini bus and saw the driver pick up his phone and put it to his ear then he stopped to carry on with the phone call. You would think that was the right thing to do, but no; he stopped on the zig zag lines of a pedestrian crossing right up to the actual crossing itself. It is illegal to stop/park on the zig zags and it is illegal to pass another vehicle where there are zig zags. It make you wonder how some people got a driving licence or if they have one at all, or perhaps when they pass the test they just decide they will ignore the rules and just drive "properly" as some people think they can do after the inconvenience of the driving test.

Sorry, am I missing something here? What’s that mirror meant for?

I think he means the mirror in the sun visor.

Down under they have installed phone detection cameras to photograph from above through the windscreen of people using their phone, then issue a pretty painful fine.

But it looks like we need vastly more cameras.

But you are allowed to use a two way radio. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

In Canada, if the phone is mounted on to the dash in a holder, it's legal to use while driving, it can't be different in the UK? It's a really simple solution and would avoid these daily "stupidities". Police use screen mounts all day every....

BTW, younger folk are the worse for this....
