Dedicated tow bar electrics

I'm looking for advice regarding dedicated tow bar electrics for a 2010 freelander 2. I have bought a second hand tow bar which has had very light use. The electrics that came with the tow bar appear to be the type that splice into the loom with scotchlocks. I would like to fit a 'plug and play' set up with the module that allows for the reversing sensors and fog lights. Any advice regarding what (including part numbers if possible) and where to buy from would be gratefully received. Also any advice regarding whether reprogramming of the Ecu etc is required would be a bonus. I think 7 pin would be ok as I don't intend towing a caravan. All of my trailers as I recall are 7 all pin. Would consider 13 pin or dual socket as long as the seven pin can be accommodated and I don't need to cut the rear bumper. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer. 2000 Discovery 2 TD5

I purchased a 7 pin version ( I use a US conversion adapter unit purchased separately) from a company in the UK that member Simon J on this forum posted about after he installed his 13 pin plug & play model. The company is called PF Jones.

A search of the Forum will reveal lots of info on what works and what doesn’t and what’s involved in adding the trailer module via SDD. Later cars don’t need this as everything works automatically, but you’ll need to do a search to find out the changeover date. I found PF Jones excellent to deal with.
