My passenger door seal is not looking that good is this a common fault cars not even 6 months old very very low miles, 1 careful owner

Just had passenger front door seal replaced under warranty. Detatched at exactly same spot.
I hadn't even noticed it, marked for attn during 12month service. All FL2's (3) Gone
2011 Mercedes C180 CGI Gone
FL2 GS Auto SD with heated leather, factory tints, alloy spare and a few other bits.

As above. Mine was noted at Service a fortnight ago, and replaced on Tuesday. They have changed/modified the passenger door seal completely, and it now looks like this:



As a point of note, this also happened to my MY2012 HSE in exactly the same place. Foraging near Gaydon....

Same here. Exactly the same place on the front passenger side. Mine was an ex demo four months old and would you believe the dealer delivered it to me like that.

When I examined the seal there was no evidence that any form of adhesive had been applied at manufacture.

Needless to say, with this and a few other issues found at delivery, I don’t use that particular dealer any more. Gone:

Had TWO door seals on the front passenger side at the exact same place in the first year of ownership. First taken care of three months after delivery and the second replaced at first service.

My dynamic is booked in on Wednesday for exactly the same problem with the passenger side door seal. From reading the posts am I correct in thinking that this should be repaired under warranty?

Yes, my two were done under warranty without quibble.

Finally had the door seal replaced after its first service in March! A month later and the new door seal is now also drifting away  MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

I have just had this again on the drivers side door. Seal was coming away after about a month and was re-adhered by the dealer but had to be replaced some months latter. New seal fell off again after four weeks. http://www.freel2.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif Dealer blamed me for washing the car and getting the seal wet to soon after seal fitted. http://www.freel2.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif When I asked if they used "dry water" as they valeted the car before return he looked rather confused.http://www.freel2.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_redface.gif

Car has to go in again to have seal reattached.

Drivers door done on mine under warranty after two months from new, told it couldn't be restuck and had to be replaced. I still think this car is noisier (wind noise) drivers side, than my MY11 ever was. MY14 TD4 manual XS Orkney grey.

Rejuvenating an old thread after having two new passagers door seals (on my third one now) I have noticed that the drivers side is coming away. Folks take at your doors seals to avoid any possible leaks ...
