I've just bought a used LR002521 Dog Guard for my 2010 Freelander 2, which has come without the bottom fixing brackets (both parts needed, as on attached screenshot of the fixing instructions). It fits pretty well without them, but I'd like to fix it properly if possible. I'm aware that these are not available separately from LR, but could anyone provide me with dimensions, so I could fabricate replacements? Thanks. David. 2010 FL2 GS TD4_e manual

Not seeing your images. We've got the dog guard mounted in our FL2/LR2. I'd be happy to take some measurements for you.

Here are photos and some measurements of the two pieces (actually 4, two on each side) for the guard lower mounting points. My apologies the photos aren't the best. (And please no comments about the rust from anyone else. Twelve years of dog drool can do that.)

In the end, this is what you're hoping to end up with.



The one piece is mostly just a straight bar. The bent edge keeps the bar from rotating. There's a welded nut that the knurled knob screws into. When you need to remove the divider for larger cargo, you would leave this piece in place. I think the instructions my have you discard the cargo tie-down hooks, but I sometimes use them so I sandwiched them between the two pieces.









This is the bent bracket that mounts to the vehicle in place of the tie-down hook. When installed, it's slightly offset from the load divider by the width of the bar piece.





(Apologies for the ruler being slightly off on a couple of these. My wife is probably right; it might be time for some glasses.)







When you pull off the tie-down hook, you'll see that it has a bent edge that fits into an indent in the body work while bolted in to keep it from spinning in place. The "ear" on this piece functions the same. The welded nut on this piece accepts the screw/bolt that attaches the bar.









When fitted, the bar fits behind the divider mount point and in front of the angled bracket.



If you have a rubber load space liner, you'll want to notch the corners to fit around the installed divider - just maybe not as big as the ones I did.



I hope these are good enough to help you fabricate the missing parts. Let me know if there are any other views or measurements you need.

We went all the way with our dog thing and added the gated piece. Other than driving our own dog around and keeping him safe from tumbling luggage, I do some work transporting rescue dogs. I can't have them jumping out and running off under my watch so the latched gate really helps. It's not a lot of space for a huge dog, but someone up to fifty pounds like this rescue Samoyed (Coconut) has plenty of room to stand, sit and lie down comfortably.
