Intermittent Starting issue

Morning folks

Just wandering if anyone has any ideas / help please? Got a weird intermittent start up feature... Its a 07 diesel auto.

Had the intermitant feature a while now (a while being since before last winter) so what happens is:
You press the brake push the start button and it fires up and appears to tick over fine as it should..
When you change from park to drive instead of pressing the accelerator and having power and pulling of normally it just crawls at prob less than 1 mile an hour a few seconds later the battery light comes on on the dash. There is no power response when you press the accelerator pedal.

Ive found when this happens If I put it in neutral or back into park then select drive again it then behaves normally and pulls off and accelerates fine and drives without issue

Ive had the car 2 years and didn't know the history of the battery so thought at first it could be a cold / winter issue or suspect aging battery. It is intermittant so it can start and drive ok without issues sometimes, yet occurs totally at random. Replaced the battery beginning of this week and if anything its started to become more frequent now Sad

Just and FYI and not related, recently (last month) had an injector issue so injectors have recently been replaced too, and no related faults shown up when my independent plugged the diagnostics computer in

Any help advice / info would be very much appreciated

Thanks in advance

Tom
