I'm having intermittent starting issues which appear to occur after I had LR service agent replaced the engine rear seal. I presume there should be an engine/body earth strap but can't find one. I wonder if the LR service agent forgot to refit it after taking out the gearbox.

So, where should there be an earth strap from the body to engine or perhaps gearbox?

I am not talking about the battery/body earth strap - that is obvious and present.

I have fitted a 'second earth' from battery to gear box.

Update: I removed the air filter box and found it underneath! Sorry to bother you all.

Whilst looking around, I found that one of the usual 3 bolts holding the starter motor on to the engine is missing! Probably not put back by service agent when they had transmission off to do engine seal. I wonder if that could cause a poor earth to the starter - but I think two bolts would.
