sd4 shunt into drive

hi all
just wanted to ask for a bit of advice
my fantastic freelander 2 sd4 has now covered 156k and ive noticed a slight issue
when i engage drive i am getting a shunt which feels at the rear i wondered if this could be caused by the haldex
other than that no issues at all also doesnt do it cold
any thoughts would be appreciated
