Black high level brake light

Don't panic !! It's only being fitted temporarily while I clean my old one and fit it witha new foam gasket.
I had this old red one kicking around and came across it buried in the shed . Also found a can of black tint aerosol spray paint (no idea what that was for, I don't recall wanting to tint anything) in the shed too. So I decided, just for Censored and giggles, to spray up the red one and see how it turned out. It'll only be on the F2 until I've finished the clear one - and found the bag of new trim clips I have kicking around somewhere, as one of the clips has broken on the tailgate trim.
It won't actually see the raod, in a driving sense of course - I have no immediate plans to be going anywhere..

Thing is, I got her indoors to press the brake to see how bright it is.....................and it's spot on ! It's got the red bulb in from the clear lense coupled with the red of the original lense meaning once on, it glows brilliantly.
I'm starting to think I might keep it in - well, at least for a day or too..........We'll see.

Yes. It's a cheap spray tint so although it looks black, it's translucent.

A word of warning, pretty sure in the MoT any tint on rear reflectors is a fail........just saying.

Looks good though. Regards

David

Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me......

Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again......

Exactly the reason why it won't be staying on. Hate all those blacked out gangsta wannabe vehicles. Certainly don't want my vehicle to look like that! Shocked

As for the MOT - there's no way on earth I'd embarrass myself by driving down the road like this, so there's zero chance I'll take if for an MOT with the tinted stuff on.

When doing the MOT, reflective tape on top of the reflectors may be enough?

Looks great Thumbs Up
