Reluctant start

My FL2 has been stood in the drive for 2 months since lockdown started. I've kept the battery topped up with a Ctek charger and it's showing full charge.

I needed to move it this morning and it was very reluctant to start although once running was nice and smooth and sounded good. No warning lights.

I'm assuming it just took a while for fuel to get through to the injectors. Anything I whoudl be concerned about?

I'lkl take it out for a few miles later today. Ian.

United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Loire Blue

Started my 2014 XS yesterday after a couple of weeks sitting idle (no trickle charger). Started OK but came up with messages about Dynamic Stability Control error and no special programs available. I let it run for a few minutes and switched off. On restart no messages and OK for the rest of the day driving about 20 miles and stopping a couple of times. So I guess this is battery related. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Mechanical devices dont like inactivity and modern electronic controls seem very sensitive to voltage drops.
Keep them running regularly and take it for a decent drive every week or so and it will perform reliably.
I wonder how all these grounded planes are going to fare when they finally start flying again?, most of them are normally in constant use, I know they will be extensively maintained and no doubt they have systems to keep things 'ticking over' but I'm sure some of them will have issues due to lack of use overe months at a time. I think I'll avoid air travel for a while..... Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
