Changing the Sat Nav to another continent

Hi there.

I’m thinking of taking my 2013 Freelander back to Australia with me.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to change the Sat Nav data from UK/Europe to Australia; or would I need a whole new unit installed?

Cheers

Only just seen this, but just in case you havent found out already, its not possible to change the area for the map, if you try and install a different map then the system will not accept it

I used OsmAnd for all my road and off-road Sat Nav in New Zealand and Australia this year - including loading up GPX routes and finding cafes etc.

I just loaded up all the maps onto my phone (inc colour relief maps with contours) in England before the trip. Then only need a GPS signal for it to work.

Have you priced them here, it maybe more economical & not worth the paperwork & insurance hassle!

This will give a fairly reasonable indication of prices. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
