United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Santorini Black
Stiff Door Handle

Hi all,

I’ve just got out of the Freelander, and when opening the driver’s door from the inside, the handle is very stiff (to the point I’m afraid if I pull it any harder, it will break). It does open, but only after pulling hard on the handle.

I’ve read quite a few threads on here about door actuator failures, but I haven’t yet found a post with the symptom I have.

The door locks correctly, and the outside handle is normal, and opens fine.

Has anybody experienced this before, and could possibly give me any pointers before I strip the door card off.

T.I.A

Ben

I would imagine the actuating cable is partially seized but could obviously be something else.
