As the weather looks as if it's changing back to normal, and I have to come in from the garden, I may be forced to do some of the jobs I have put off for the last half century or so.

That looks better than my workshop. Next rainy day I'm going to sort out, label and tidy my boxes of resistors, capacitors and transistors. also renew the leads on all my mutimeters and'scope. As an alternative I could instead have a red hot poker inserted into my rectum. 11 GS Bali Blue

Saw this image taken in Kenya recently and it reminded me of when I was a child in the 50's I lived not far from Guy's Motors in Wolverhampton where they made lorries. It was quite common to see a men driving past the house on a lorry chassis (on a temporary wooden seat) with cap on backwards and goggles and overcoat and scarf etc. Presumably delivering them. This became then a British Leyland factory, not sure if it's part of JLR now. Anyone else recall scenes like this?

I remember these well in the 50s & 60s, a common sight driving through the centre of Bristol. In the 50s as a schoolboy I thought that this was an ideal job, probably during my 'train driver syndrome' phase.

New passport just arrived. A blue one just like Boris promised us. So there is some benefit to Brexit after all ! However it, probably means that I am barred from EU countries now.

It’s not difficult getting a good piccy, but then I did sessions every Monday at 08:30 > 09:00.....never had one rejected but then it was part of my job, but you really would be surprised at some of the “self portraits” that came in moaning about them being rejected and asking me if I could “manipulate” the image to make it acceptable......I just told them to sit down and (effectively) shut up!
