England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Orkney Grey

On the radio last night, prior to this announcement coming through, they spoke to the Head of Police Officers Assn (?) and he said they'd be exercising common sense if they found someone not to have valid MOT however if they found it was already 6 months out of date they'd take a different approach Laughing
I do wonder though what Insurers take will be if their client makes a claim in a car without an MOT? Hopefully won't be an issue

We have had this problem for a few months in NI due to defective lifts in MOT centres. Your MOT will be extended and insurance companies are happy with this providing the vehicle is still roadworthy.

It says an "extension" so you would still be covered,
