android radio fitting

have a 2010 freelander with an alpine radio setup no sat nav. i am intending to fit an android unit which incorporates all. After removing radio found first problem fiber optic cables on the head unit and c/d unit. Can I simply disregard these and use a amplifier by pass loom which brings all speaker connections to the radio unit.

don't know what the fiber cables are for.
A complete aftermarket fitting kit is over £280.00 and this seems to loop one cable and connect the other one in some sort of box.

Any help please

LOTS of info on here already if you do a search. Some posts even have part numbers of bits you need. And you need a lot of parts. And it's not cheap. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…

after reading several posts its a MOST fiber ring. When removing a device from it you need to loop the ring. And I think edit the device listings.

In any event have returned to the original setup. This setup has no DAB or sat nav. The dab should be quite simple as the radio head unit has a provision for it just need the other bits. The landrover sat nav uses a cd so may be best to use my android unit for this
