You blanked the flow, not disabled the hardware. It's a big difference.

Thread resrection - did you get any conclusion to this, the reason I ask driving home last night whilst on cruise control, EML came on, car did not go into limp mode.

@andyk159 your EGR may not be at fault. I had similar recently after the car had been to the body shop on a third party claim. They removed the rear bumper and quarter panel and presumably disconnected the battery in doing so. First I knew about it was limp mode on the M62. I looked into this over the next few weeks on this forum and other LR sites. Came to the conclusion that it may be an electronic fault.

Some of my research suggested that throttle body issues such as sending request to the EGR to go to places it can't go, which throws up voltage issues leading to DTCs. I suspected that fault codes P0403-71 and Code P0405-77 could be linked to Land Rover service bulletin LTB00739.
