Internal sanitisation is definitely the answer, I'll test the antiseptic properties of a few bottles of merlot tonight and report back my findings. Its selfless research but needs repeated over a long period of time so that I can be sure of the results. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Heard today that guy at work died; been self isolating, called ambulance Monday, died of organ failure. Been here 42 years. Sadly no service funeral that he rightly deserved after that time |

That is one of the worse aspects of this disease. A lonely death with virtually no friends and majority of family at your funeral. Even those close family members that are allowed to attend often cant even hug or console each other. Heartbreaking. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Terrible, sorry to hear that, our best friends of 45 years called us yesterday to tell us their next door neighbour died early morning, full blues and twos arrived all gowned up, he had been working 16 hours a day trying to keep his business going after three of his workers went off I’ll a few weeks ago, he had been ill at home for a week then suddenly went really downhill the night before, really brings it home, more people should realise just how serious this is. Regards David Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me...... Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again...... |

A few years ago we walked through Chambers Gorge in the Flinders Ranges, South Australia. For kilometres there was a dead kangaroo or goat every 100 metres from the heat & lack of water. Kangaroos were trying to dig through the river bed pebbles to reach water.

The Trump administration declined to use a nearly 70-page pandemic preparedness playbook created by the National Security Council's health unit during the Obama administration, Politico reported.

I can't see that's going to be an issue though since the Orange One seems to think the US has hit it's peak and is on the home run now - from where he sits he can't see the mass graves being dug in New York . . . . . . . I suppose he's just pleased that the US has (or is heading to be) the country with the highest death rate, even more than China, so that's ok then in LaLa land or wherever he lives |

One thing that concerns me is the way that the figures are presented on TV almost like a football score ie 950 today etc. This is total deaths in hospital and doesn't include "coronavirus assisted" deaths in care homes or even deaths at home. Thus the important figure really is how many excess deaths are there per day over the normal rate for the population given that some people are dying of corona who might have died of something else very soon anyway? Interestingly admissions to A&E have dropped significantly recently.

I thought the totals were changed about a week ago to include CV-19 deaths outside of hospitals also?
