My Son is A&E SHD in the West Midlands presently and keeps telling us the Doctors only have one set of full PPE (cloak, mask, overshoes) and the normal gloves......although two weeks ago the nurses received their full allocation of PPE (I guess it varies from area to area) leaving the Docs begging for a mask when a C-19 comes in........they started testing last week, so getting better, and to protect the home he has set up a gazebo in the back garden so he can change and wash before going indoors. His wife and kids 18 months and 3yr are with us since the start, it being much safer for them......hard times for everyone. Regards David Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me...... Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again...... |

After being in Sandwell Hospital for exactly 14 days today, the hospital have called to inform us that my father-in-law has now contracted Coronavirus while he's been there and due to his weakened state , they can no longer do anything for him. He will be moved ASAP to the nearest hospice - but the doctors think he will die before that happens due to the high demand for places.

I have a friend, (a dog walking friend) she is a hospital porter in St Georges in South London, most of our recent FB chats are about how Her whole working day is spent taking people to the mortuary. She has told me at least twice now how people get admitted and don't last beyond 3 days.

No problem, got it off my daughters Facebook page, don't know where she got it from but she is a nurse, been back to work from maternity leave a week, she teaches students but it looks like she will be back on icu again as she can use all types of ventilators. Common sense isn't very common. _______________________________ 2007 Land Rover Freelander2 I6 hse Auto |

I know from speaking to my sister yesterday, that this is also how she is feeling. She works at the Women's hospital. But on top of all this, the thing that really upsets her is the abuse from patients who believe they are immune from the virus - despite being diagnosed as positive. Who refuse point blank to wear masks or wash their hands. Who, despite all this, then have the cheek to say they don't like her attitude because she's told them what needs to be said. Then their's the abuse from partners, who also think they can go anywhere within the wards - again without masks etc. She told me how she was threatened with violence when she asked a man not to enter without the correct protection, being told "who the f!!! are you to tell me, you're just a f!!!!! nurse , and you haven't got a clue what you're doing. I'll knock you the f!!! out you stupid bitch."
