RPM related whine

So two weeks ago i picked up a new to me one owner my58 FL2 with 65k on the clock and 11 stamps in the book. Before i got it home i had fuel issues in which it went back to the dealer one both fuel pumps were replaced.
So on to latest issue just driven 250 miles to Somerset from Lancashire and it's developed a whine. It seams to be linked to RPM and when turning. So i checked the Power steering Reservoir. And it's full but black which doesn't seem right to me. Is there a common issue does anyone know. Also I'm i going to have to replace pump and rack or just the pump?
Also dealer did say he would pay and just to get it done.
Don't really want to take it back as the car is immaculate and drives like a dream.

Is the whine coming from the front? It could be a simple task of replacing the fluid reservoir and fluid. Can be done at home.

It could also be a wheel bearing if speed affects it and turning affects it.

Neither are serious issues as long as you get them sorted. Fingers crossed it isnt the diff FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.
Sold DS for a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Fingers crossed....
Sold Outlander for a 2014 SD4 SE Tech because I’m mental
Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎
Couldn’t afford the fuel bills so back to an older Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Significantly better than I remembered it to be…

Doesn't sound like a wheel bearing and is more RPM then speed related. That's why i thought or am thinking power steering.

I vote for power steering reservoir. Fit a new one, they aren't expensive, then saw the old one up and see if it's full of cr Censored p 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
