Ahaaaa.... this makes sense to me. I've seen a few posts recommending the removal of the fan assembly to get easier access to the oil filter. ("it just unclips" etc). When I tried this the fan assembly unclipped easily but there was no way that it was going to come out, no matter how i oriented it without removing some pipes. I have an auto. Mystery solved! |

Mines an auto too. Will have to keep on accessing the oil filter from underneath then Jules |

Not so much of an issue on the si6 engine........just have to move the power steering pump reservoir temporarily out of the way. |

when I do an oil change now I remove the fans. It's pretty simple, from memory:
