Any good garage could help you it does not have to be a Land Rover garage.

As YB says, codes are a good start! It may seem obvious, but have you tried a different key? At ten years old the rechargeable batteries in the key fob are getting pretty old. On odd occasions I have to re-insert my key fob a couple of times before it will start. 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

The rechargeable batteries are ONLY for the remote lock/unlock. The transponder in the key needs no power and in any case, if the transponder wasn’t working, you wouldn’t start it whatever wires you crossed.

Once had something like this on another car it turned out to be corroded and dirty contacts on the starter motor. |

Steve, thanks for that. HI, there is a thin blue wire that goes from a cable loom to the starter motor. This is known to wear and corode/break.

I am interested too. I have the same problem. I must press R102 by hand to crank the engine. |
