Philips xenstart d1s

Bought a second FL2 which has xenon bulbs, maybe an aftermarket kit.

The bulbs are quite dim and need changing.

I have the headlamp out, the bulb is unplugged but I cannot see how to remove it.

The handbook implies there are two philips srews but these are not present.

Is there a clip, does it just pull out?

Yes, I tried a photo but it seems to have got lost in the ether.

Looking on net, it seems that the brown circular bit, I could see, is a locking arrangement.

It gets dark here about 1430 so I have put it all back together as we need the car tomorrow morning - doesn't get light much before 0930.

It is light all night at midsummer though.

I will re-examine it tomorrow in the daylight - good thing is it is easy to remove headlamp.

Solved the problem, the holder locks by turning and the brown bit pushes off.

Needed slightly more effort than I was giving it - I was trying to be too gentle.

Did notice that the high beam bulbs are H7 and not H11 as per handbook, I have exchanged those.

Message to self, read what it says on the headlamp rather than what's in the handbook.

Probably is original as my other FL2 has same arrangement and I have had that from new - the handbook is correct for that one.
