Hello group any advice please on where to get this job done? I live in Coventry Midlands. I am not in a position to do the work myself. Al C |

Given that the owner of EH Douglas owns and drives one of these himself, and the relatively small difference in price, I know who I would trust from personal experience of both.

Excuse me but if you don't know who to trust it's a bit pointless asking the question?

No good for you regarding location, but for price comparison, I've actually got mine booked in to Nick Kerner 4 Wheel Drive, Windsor, Berkshire, on 4th Feb. for quoted price of £641.56 inc belt, water pump, and VAT. Hope that helps. |

Who’s that if you don’t mind me asking? I’m looking for a good LR shop close to mid Wales. |

That seems like a much more realistic price, 6 and 700 pounds is way to steep IMHO. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Probably not much use to you but as a reference point Yeovil and Taunton LandRover do fixed price deals on servicing etc on FL2s. cambelt £395 which sounds a good price.

Try Prospect in Solihull for a quote - I've had a service done there - no problems, But it wasnt a big job either.

Get your local garage to do it £350 and avoid main dealers and so called special independents . Never have seen the point in having a mechanic who wants to charge £100 or more per hour. It’s only a car for god sake , what makes you all think it’s such a complicated machine |

With the greatest of respect, any modern Land Rover is a highly complicated bit of machinery compared to "just a car". Each to their own, naturally...... |
