If they are loosing 10,000+ staff “to be able to invest”, did they serve no purpose being there in the first place, or are those that are left simply have to work harder and longer?

I can’t imagine that this is going to help with staff morale, delivery times or product quality.

Well they need to stop making engines gearboxes and diffs, the staff employed in these areas will have nothing to do now. Car companies will probably buy in new technology from specialized manufacturers of batteries and electric motors.
