Only a dripping coolant drain valve. Sort tomorrow. Thanks all for advice and comments. First and only FL2 from new. Stornaway Grey 77k

I have had exactly the same thing happen to me (fuse on top of the battery is stuffed). Where did you source yours from?

I got it on eBay. Thirty quid plus a starter motor in dreadful condition bunged in too.

Look at my photo above tho. The one of the burnt out fuse bit.....

I can’t help but think that you could cut back to the bare flat metal ends and drill a hole either
Side. It is possible to purchase CAL3 fuses on eBay. You need one about 150a or so.

It’s possible to get a waterproof housing for the fuse that would bolt on to each end....Then fit the fuse inside.
And as it’s a CAL3 (whatever that means in reality) the car would be none the wiser.

Don’t know if electrical boffins here would think if this would work . First and only FL2 from new. Stornaway Grey 77k

Have now applied CAL3 fuse but as I now have working car will keep for now as the cable is a git to fit. Shows it can be done tho. Takes power fine .
