Hi All

New to the group and a newbie to the Land Rover world.
Since buying my 08 FL2 TD4 Auto I had noticed what was a small but random idle issue where when in Drive, it would fall to around 500rpm nearly stalling and then increase to 900rpm. This does not happen in command shift nor in Park. After driving for a while it would disappear however just lately it seems to be getting much worse and has started to impact the fuel consumption. The mpg is all over the place to be honest and now throwing a P1103 “Mass Airflow Sensor in Range But Higher Than Expected” fault code.

So I have been doing my research and much of the talk is pointing at the MAF sensor which I have no problem replacing however i would really like to know what else I can check/clean/replace to ensure I really get this issue resolved.
I’m inclined to take it to the garage just yet as the more I read on here the more I see that hundreds of £££ is spent but never really resolved.
