England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto Indus Silver
Virbration at between 1600-1900 revs

First time posting, I have a problem with an intermittent vibration between 1600-1900 revs, put in into a local Land Rover garage. They had it for 3 days and have ruled out any problem at the back end, but couldn't pinpoint the problem, it's a case of let it develop ( they didn't charge me as couldn't find the fault).
Any help would be appreciated, it feels as it is gradually getting worse, when it happens I can speed up and clear it.
I have a 2007 auto HS.
Thanks
Rose

I had the same problem, shuddering someone said it's best described as driving over a corrugated road. It was the torque converter. Plus third gear or is it third speed on an auto box was not kicking in when it should.

It drove better in manual gears but was not right.

I had a recon converter and auto box refurb done.

Now drives perfectly.

I suggest you have it looked at by a gearbox specialist. The place in Birmingham I used didn't charge for initial diagnosis. Just went out with the head chap who drove it for about five miles and told me the problem and the solution. Their prices are considered reasonable.
