front suspension

Anyone had probs with the front suspension mounts??

Took car in this week as was getting a knocking, like loose trim, from behind glovebox.

Phoned today and was told they are replacing suspension mounts???

I had notice cracking noise when making corners. But had notice the noise only appear when stepping on the brake. So check whether does the noise appear when u not stepping on the brake or not.

Had mine done when the same noise as yours,the rubber mount on top of the suspension,i think they replace with a larger unit,yet again more hassle then every-one needs with this car Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad eskdale,my car has been in twice for the same problem Censored

Technical Service Bulletin No.LTB00055

Summary:
Knocking noise emanating from the front suspension.
Cause: Stabilizer bar link nut loose due to excess paint in the joint.
Action: Should a customer express concern, install new nuts that secure the stabilizer
bar to the stabilizer bar link. Follow the Service Instruction outlined below.

Operation Description
Operation No. 60.10.89/35 Time 0.30 hours
Install new nuts that secure the stabilizer bar to the stabilizer bar link.

Service Instruction:
Remove the front wheels and tires.
Remove the nut securing the stabilizer bar to the stabilizer bar link.
Inspect the stabilizer bar link threads for damage, if damaged, install a new stabilizer bar link.
To be carried out as a separate Warranty Claim.
Inspect and clean off any paint that is loose or flaky on the stabilizer bar spade end.
Install the new nut to the stabilizer bar to the stabilizer bar link and tighten to 70Nm.
Carry out steps 3 to 5 for the opposite side of the vehicle.

Where did you find this Service Bulletin ? The reason for asking this is that I wonder if there's a list of ALL service Bulletins for the FL2.
I have the impression that LR do not recall cars but only react when the customer complaints which I find unacceptable.

Thanks Furyan but no, nothing in particular. I'm just a bit anxious that - unless I complain about certain malfunctions - certain upgrades or recalls won't be done during the guarantee period and I wonder if any of those listed issues will be repaired for free once the term of guarantee is expired.
