Discoed the relevant hoses/connections and removed the entire bracket you pictured as you must in order to replace the pump ( I had already bought one) which is screwed to the bracket from the rear along with the charcoal canister. The filter can be replaced in situ exactly as you described above. Personally I would not change the filter as routine maintenance but would remove the wheel well liner and wash in there at least once every couple of years as the muck collects on the top of the liner and encapsulates the entire filter because of where it's located in relation to the top of said liner. |
