Recommendations - Sheffield Land rover garages

Morning all

Anyone in the Sheffield area recommend a good garages where i can get work done on my freelander 2

really do not fancy paying dealer prices, the garage i have used for years have said they will do normal service work oil air fuel filters and MOT but are not experienced enough for such work as Heldex service.

Is it not possible to use a garage that has Audi/vw or Volvo experience as some of those marques use gen4 haldex units or is there something special about land rover? MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

I wouldn’t hold your breath with Audi dealers, when we had our Q3 I wanted the Hadley serviced when we hit 25K miles and the Audi dealer (our supplying dealer) said they would not touch it until at least 40K miles.......even though I asked, they said it wasn’t due and would invalidate the new vehicle warranty Shocked

I actually don’t think they really knew anything about the Haldex as when I chatted to them about it they thought I meant the auto transmission oil change.....until I explained what the Haldex was! Regards

David

Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me......

Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again......

If you are on the North side of Sheffield, these guys are highly recommended. They are a few miles N of Donny on the A19

According to AA Bewdley is 120 miles from Sheffield. Well worth the trip, but phone them first.
