Yesterday somebody smashed my passenger's windscreen and nicked my pda and navigation and some other stuff.

Called the police and they already had someone detained for questioniong who was overtaken by 3 women when he tried to do the same on their car which was parked in their drive way.

2 youths still got away, including the one with the goods.

I heard them interogating him while a I was giving may statements.

They also dusted for fingerprints on my car to further put him under pressure to give up his companions.

It was like you see in the movies which I always tought was a bit over the top, but it really was like that.

I really hope they lock him up and throw away the key. I worked really hard to where I am today and still do and people who want the rewards without the effort have no respect from me!

Thank god it wasn't the freely I'm still waiting on delivery of.

Bad luck for you and him for getting caught!

I am sure he'll be out of the nick with an ASBO, before you can say "Freelander 2".

Expect him to be knocking your FL2 window out soon, as he'll be annoyed at getting caught, rather than having seen the errors of his ways!

Just a little reminder reminder from the Boys in Blue. The spring is nearly with us and so the tourist season starts. Thieves are well known to target beauty spot car parks where tourists have to leave their vehicles and walk to where ever leaving valuables in open view in their cars. Every year the local Police take at least a dozen or more reports of thefts Sad from vehicles parked at beauty spots. The thefts are usually from hire cars which the well versed thieves can spot a mile away!

The amount of time spent to get everything as before again is unbelievable:

3 hours spent talking to police (waiting included)
1 hour spent getting a temporary screen fitted
3 hours on getting the definite screen fitted
4 hours spent driving to police, screen fitters
plus expecting at least 3 hours for getting certain documents in the wright place.
plus more time shopping for replacements of stolen goods

I wont be leaving any valuables in my car agian and am currently negotiating a protected parking place from working location or I wont be comming back once I have my new car.

In fact the day after the broke in my car someone knocked in another carwindow only 10 meters from where I was parked on monday. This is really no place to leave your car.
