I’ve read of many people saying they have opted to use the genuine LR towbar wiring (VPLFT0077) but I’m having great difficulty finding an online supplier. No shortage of after market ones but genuine LR seem as rare as hens' teeth.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks for this link I’ve seen these ones advertised but can’t find out anything about how they connect or how they work. They may use a bypass relay which I don’t want. The 'Right Connection' one seems to be the nearest equivalent to the LR one and I’ll probably just go with that.

Out of curiosity I contacted the eBay seller about his offer as his description of who made it was far from clear. His response was “‘This parts is [sic] OEM brand”. I think I’ll stay clear and just go for the Right Connections one offered by P F Jones.

Thanks for the link. I’d seen it but I’m always put off by the misleading use of 'OEM' when what they mean is aftermarket. I ended up getting one from PF Jones (which isn’t made by Right Connections as I had mistakenly thought) that looks to be first class.
