M5 fast lane, not the best place for limp home mode to kick in !

Plugged in and came up with MAP sensor so got it removed, cleaned the excess oil, refitted & cleared the code. All ok now

Is this a common fault and should I be concerned about the amount of oil picked up or is it just a build up over a long period of time?
No other know faults with the car but needs the occasional top up of engine oil in between services.

I spoke too soon !

Gave it some welly and got a noise seems to be coming through the air vents, sounds like something whirring or spooling, turbo maybe? Can also be heard outside the car with window down.
Did it every time I accelerated with various amounts of throttle (except light acceleration) and now its put it back into limp mode  LR Freelander 2 2014 metropolis SD4 auto in Loire Blue.

Split intercooler/turbo hose by the sound of it. The first one to check is the short one at the throttle body, not always easy to spot either.

No, he means intercooler hose......they split just like on the FFRR 3.6 weasel. Regards

Yes, I did mean MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor & good shout Badger51, it was the rubber hose section of the intercooler pipe that had split. LR Freelander 2 2014 metropolis SD4 auto in Loire Blue.
