Tailgate Panel Removal

I have a rattle from the tail gate, can any body tell me how to remove the plastic trim from the inside of the Tailgate. I have removed the 2 screws holding the hand pulls and after much pulling twisting and general swearing I cannnot seem to move it at all.

Hope someone can help. Freelander 2 TD4 GS Auto with Winter Pack, Stornaway Grey, Ebony, Grey Mirror Caps. Removable towbar with 13 pin Electrics

Thanks npinks, I must be too gentle with it ! What's happened to simple screws? is it best to start from the bottom or the top to completely remove the panel and where are the clips situated?

many thanks.
