I've been thinking about leaving the fold for a while now and have got my eyes on a Disco Sport. I'm pretty close to buying it and would sell mine through Evans Halshaw buy your car scheme. However, I was thinking last night that it might appeal to someone on here? I will happily make a donation to this forum if it were to sell.

Now the slight problem is timing. It would really have to be gone by Monday 27th May so I would need payment by then. I have been offered £10580 by Evans Halshaw but fully expect to be beaten down a little on that price. However, if it were to be sold on here then I would include a lot of the extras that otherwise I'd be selling after the cars gone.

Sooooo It's a 62 plate November 2012 Freeland 2 HSE Luxury. It's done 77000 miles and I've owned it for 2 1/2 years and I think I am the 3rd owner. It's Baltic Blue which when clean looks amazing. It's got all of the usual HSE spec but also has the Windsor Leather, the reverse cam and the all-important heated steering wheel! It won’t need servicing until April next year or for another 15,000 or so miles and the MoT runs out in November.

Its got full service history part land rover and part infield 4x4 land rover specialist. It was last serviced in April just gone and in my time of ownership has had new rear pads late last year and a new battery. It also had the EGR valve and the tailgate switch replaced under warranty. It’s got Pirelli Scorpions all round which have a fair bit of life left on them.

Not so good points, 3 of the 4 alloys have some form of delamination or scuffing. The 4th I bought brand new so that is excellent. There is a small vertical crease in the drivers front wing where someone has opened a door into it. There are also a few chips that are the size of a 5p or smaller on the front bumper and the bonnet area. I’ve touched these up with LR touch up paint but they are fairly easy to see. The rest of the bodywork is fine especially for a car of its age.

The bonus parts: I took the worst of the 4 alloys off and that became the spare rather than the gunk so it has a full sized matching spare alloy. I also have a LR jack and the foam insert in the boot well. You can also have the foam insert and the gunk supplied. It has roof rails fitted. I also have the genuine roof bars and case which I would include. It has the LR boot tray and a full set of LR rubber mats I purchased. The rear seats have always been under a set of the Britpat fitted waterproof seat covers and I have the fronts as well but I don’t use them. If I don’t sell it on here then these extras will be available for sale separately. Last but not least I will chuck in the touch up pen (slightly used…..)

So to the price, I would happily let the car go to a forum member for £10,500 including all of the extras above (which I reckon are easily worth £500) Like I say I’ll make a generous donation to the forum as thanks for all of the help I’ve had from here. This is my 3rd and final Freelander 2 and I genuinely will be sad to see it go. It’s easily the best one I’ve had and the spec is amazing. I’m based in North Warwickshire not far from Tamworth and Nuneaton. Unfortunately, like I have said you’ll have to be quick as I need to book it in at Evans Halshaw by next Monday. I’m impulsive and have bought a Disco Sport that’s 400 miles away so need to sort it! A few older pics of it below to give you an idea of what its like. It’s too dirty to show how it is now but I’ll get it clean and add some more.

Before you pull the trigger on the DS, you might wish to take this into account. Dealers know that residuals will fall off a cliff on existing models from tomorrow.

No afraid not. I messgaed a dealer that specialises in Land Rovers locally and he made me a great offer so all is good.
