Apparently the service records for my MY13 Freelander are online - any idea how I can access them?

You need to go onto the Land Rover (customer area) web site and enter your VIN number. Regards

My FL2 is registered to 'My Land Rover'

It is a central database which I think will allow me to see and get reminders to Servicing, MOT, Ins, etc.

It is new to me. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 79k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

Only franchised dealers or independents registered with JLR, can enter service data. Services undertaken by oneself or your local garage can not be entered on the OSH. These need to be logged elsewhere by the owner for future reference.

My franchised dealer completely failed to remind of my annual service despite the OSH.

You will need to produce a VAT receipt for the service before they will even entertain the idea, and not all will be as helpful as some.

ps: Jules, if your local former dealer is the same as mine once was, and part of the Sytner group, then I can completely understand your last sentence above...  MY13 HSE Lux.......faultless since new.

Thanks for the information - sadly my car has been independently serviced so the records are not available online. Luckily I have all the receipts etc.

Sorry to kick up an old thread but I have got my OSH saying a missed service but I have had the big one done this week but cannot find anywhere to upload onto my personal VIN service area. Any ideas?

Have also emailed Dan@landrover to see if he knows but as yet no reply , perhaps he not about anymore ??

Bloody ridiculous that you cannot add an independent service to your own legally registered vehicle

Yes it is very annoying. So, FWIW, I created my own log book spreadsheet with dated photos of all the work done (most has been DIY).

I was quite pleased to find that our fiesta ST still has a traditional log book. Jules

my D4 had 3 years of LR servicing from new which is all in the book, then 5 years of Indy specialist servicing all on receipts. I took it to LR to get the belts changed and service not long after I bought it and they uploaded it to my OSH straight away.

Ive now found a local indy who is JLR accredited and can upload to OSH so guess where im going for my next service etc.

@Jules - Dan no longer works at LRCS, he moved on last year and since then the response has been pretty poor...… come back Dan all is forgiven

You can't beat a good old fashioned service book, as even prehistoric man can fill it in.

From what I have read elsewhere, if you have an ex-JLR management vehicle,
the servicing contractors never used to fill in the online service records.

It`s not just JLR that use online service records, My wife has just bought a used Mazda CX3 and the service history is all online. Unfortunately the old fashioned service book is so so easy to falsify and should never be relied upon on its own as proof of regular servicing. It needs to be backed up with actual invoices for parts fitted/work carried out.
