First towing holiday of the year. Only a 600kg trailer tent so hardly noticeable and minimal difference on mpg figures. Hardest part was remembering not to go in lane 3 of M5 and also watch the speed limit.

Lovely place to visit. If you get a chance, get the ferry to Sirmione, I think it’s only one stop. We’ve been to Sirmione 3 times now, always stay at the hotel Eden right by the ferry stop and we always fit in a trip to Bardolino. thanks Steve, we've been to Bardolino before and love it. think we've visited Sirmione before and I bought a leather bag, which I just couldn't resist looking forward to seeing it again. Iain ps just checked the map and I bought the bag in Limone, which was a short ferry trip from Malcesine, but we did take the ferry to Sirmione one day, remember the ice cream shops !! |

The massed tourists only go to the Fairy Pools and a couple of other spots. Plenty of nice quiet bits left for the locals... Not aware of a Kit Cobra living on Skye - but a lot of tucked-away farmsteads may house interesting pieces of auto history. There's barn-finds to be found here I suspect. Limone is very nice too - right up the other end of the lake. We drove round there as the ferry from Sirmione was about 3 hours. For some reason, I always get the wife and her mates to pose outside this shop in Sirmione. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto Present: Audi A3 S Line. |
