Not really surprised if that happens. We all think the LR brand to be good but there lots of people who think they are overpriced for what they are and let's face it, some of the competition has improved greatly.

I predicted at the back end of last year that TATA would split the brand, flog Land Rover and retain Jaguar, as it's making profit, and well ahead in electrification. That prophecy appears to be coming true.

Oh I agree, I had a Discovery 2 V8 and what a motor, but I think the freely is a much better motor and it certainly tows better even though there is no low range, let's face it, how many of us really used it.

How I read the two reports on the supplied links, the sudden loss is as a result of a financial correction.

In about eight years time one will still see the Land Rover logo on toys, bikes, clothes, footwear, watches and jewelry but not on motorised vehicles. Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own! |

..... they did that with the .........vehicle we all love to drive ........ FoMoCo I don't, for a moment, think JLR or LR will go down. When your company makes a loss ......... you write down everything and 'chuck in the kitchen sink'. JLR are still changing ...... its just taking a little longer. . |

I think Hyundai/Kia would be a good match (like an article I read somewhere recently) and having owned one or other of the brands (a Kia Rio CRDi now a Hyundai i30 CRDi) for a number of years I can vouch that they are well put together. Andrew
