Thanks Yorkybob I now have an alternative solution (other than leaving my FL2 and buying an electric car) to being able drive into the cities that have a pollution tax. Just need to look for a cart that can take a two ton car, and a very fit horse. PS The picture reminds me of the shock I got when I visited rural Turkey many years ago. It was like experiencing the past and going back 50 or more years. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011) FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 79k+ miles) (MY2015) Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History (Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?) |

Hang around Thornbury roundabout at the top of Leeds Road in Bradford for not too long and you will see the other side of society . Not onlythe Ferrari and Kahn-ed up G Wagen driving dealers , but the tatters carts driven by enterprising , school dodging , 12 year olds,. They are all around merrily flogging their old skewbald nags , as they haul last nightâs stolen gates , road signs and beer barrels to scrappers on Dick Lane . The general horse parking area is either the middle of the roundabout , or if it rains the horses sometimes take shelter under the entrance canopy of the nearby Travelodge.

Enter the horse manure tax, clip clop noise tax, wheels touching the road tax, the cart tax and the carrying a load tax to name just a few. Remember the politicians mantra; if you can't tax it, ban it. J |

What a great idea but instead of the car I can hitch my caravan and upset CG even more. Common sense isn't very common.
