Cheapest way would be hiring a car trailer at closing time.
Leave middle of night/very early morning and get to car by 9am (or earlier).
Drive back to Scotland (with car).
Unload trailer and take trailer back for closing time.
That's only a cheap one day trailer rental + fuel etc.

Did that when I collected my little runabout in Norwich last year.

Alternatively ask "big dave" (MD couriers) on the D3 forum, he may not shift cars, but could have a contact.
There was also 'character' on the D3 forum, that was his business, but don't believe he's been active on the forum for some time. FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

I've used Shiply a few times. You tell them your budget and get quotes from firms competing against each other so you can choose the best deal for you. Someone based in Scotland may be in the Manchester, or surrounding area dropping off, so could pick up a vehicle in that area and drop it to Scotland rather than return home empty.
